土耳其发现巨犀化石

土耳其研究机构展示一组新发现的史前巨犀（Paraceratherium）化石。6月5日，土耳其矿产研究和勘查总局宣布在昌克勒地区发现一组距今约2800万年的巨犀化石。巨犀是地球上已知最大的陆生哺乳动物，生活于中古近纪渐新世时期的蒙古、中国、印度次大陆和中亚地区，成年身长可达8米、肩高5米，重达20吨。土耳其是目前发现巨犀化石标本数量最多的国家，新发现的化石将被送至博物馆接受修复，帮助研究巨犀的迁徙路线和分布范围。摄影师：MTA
